how to write these things..
I hope this entry finds all of you well. to say I have been busy is a major understatement. I have found that being a full time Hubby, Daddy of 2 among other things is quite fun and keeps a fella busy.
Well with that said welcome to the newer Divine Tomfoolery. I have dropped the Jabberwocky Asylum tag for this blog because of the new direction I will be taking. Plus I will be editing Jim’s Blog Rack. I have an eclectic group of friends and I want to make sure that I have their updated websites and such. So if you see and few links go missing here and there they will be back..
I have found that I have a renewed lease on my life and I will be sharing quite a bit of it with you all in this forum. I have always used humor to get my point across and I will continue to write my observations in that format.
However, I will also start to add my faith in my lord Jesus Christ in my observations as well. This may cost me some readers, but so be it. I am not ashamed of God, nor what He has done in my life. I wake up every morning at Calhoun Manor (my house guh
) and share my day with my foxy wife and two beaiutful kids.
Thank you Lord!
Colossians 3:17 (NLT) says
And whatever you do or say, do it as a representation of the Lord Jesus , giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
As most of you know I made a set of goals called 32 things I wanted to accomplish in 09′. Well I have been busy with those so let me share a few of the goals I have met since last time. you can see the whole list by clicking the link above or clicking the link under Jimipedia
Goal #10 Find an Awesome Local Church
Well we did just that. Well we didn’t find it we just went home. We decided to go back to my home church, Red Branch Baptist, in Carthage NC. This is where I came to know the Lord and preached my first sermon. My wife and I love it here and look forward to raising our kids in this church as long as God keeps us there.
Goal #32 Move into a house
When I wrote this goal it seemed a bit far fetched, but on June 1st my family and I moved out of our tiny apartment into a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in lovely Angier NC. while it’s not a mansion or something you will see on MTV’s Cribs. It is ours and we are so proud to have it. We love living in a small town again. I will write a new post soon about the life in a small town very soon.
Well that’s all for now. the babies are hungry and so am I
Until next time!
